Description
Departing from anything traditional in ski films. Greg Stump’s “The Good the Rad and the Gnarly” is designed as a visual music album. It chronicles a night in the life of Harry Ackerman (played by Dr. Delam star Minor Rootes) a regular man who has a series of disconcerting nightmares. He dreams he’s in a rat pack of “extreme” fun hogs. (Read the Stump Crew from 1987.) Sound stimulating? You Bet!
Snowboard with a teenage Craig Kelly and Damian Sanders. Skate board with the Converse Skate Team that includes 17 year old Tony Hawk, Steve Caballaro, Christian Hosoi, Lance Mountain and Rodney Mullen, windsurf with Robby Naish and ski with the world’s greatest ski bums of 1987… Scott Kennett, Geoff Stump, Lynne Weiland, Robert Aguirre, Chris “The Hatchetman” Haslock and Jeff “Wiley Coyote) Coffin.
Featuring the original music of Tom Blackwell, Ted Musgrave, Bob Thompsom and Barrington Levy.
This film preceded the award winning “Blizzard Of Aahhh’s” by one year. Greg decided to get a bit more serious after this crazy movie.
